Dr. Matthew Logan was recently named vice president and chief medical officer of Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, SC. Dr. Logan has worked as an emergency medicine physician at SRH for the past 14 years. He has served in various leadership positions with SRH including seven years as medical director of the emergency care center and two years as chief of staff. He helped redesign the care delivery model within the SRH cardiovascular service line and currently serves as the physician executive sponsor of cardiovascular services at SRH. He also serves as the medical director of Greenwood County EMS and is a past president of the South Carolina College of Emergency Physicians.
Dr. Logan received his undergraduate degree in biological sciences from Clemson University, a masters degree in Healthcare Management from the Harvard School of Public Health, and his medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He completed his emergency medicine residency at Palmetto Health in Columbia, SC. He is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
